Christian Ruefli-Flury, an extremely talented and romantic "Maître-Horloger" watchmaker from Grenchen, Switzerland, makes a pocket watch for his beloved wife Pauline's 25th birthday. Impressed by this exquisite gift, she convinces her husband to set up his own watchmaking company in Biel, a city famous for its highly trained watchmakers.
For 140 years, Edox has been imagining, producing and distributing Swiss-made and hand-assembled timepieces. The factory based in Les Genevez operates with experienced Swiss watchmakers and modern equipment, respecting the tradition and know-how of its forefathers.
